WeCARE Charitable Trust

We conducted session with some yoga , singing, music and dance with the inmates at St. John of God on 16th October from  4.30 pm to 5.20 pm. We noted that there were 34 people in total.

There were chairs placed and they were all sitting on chairs and this we thought we could conduct singing and dancing activities on chairs and invite them to stand and move a bit. Active participation was around 20 inmates. The inmates look happy and active. Some of the ladies had a great sense of memory and they recollected meeting Krishna for an art session in past.

We started with some simple yoga exercises which included hands and body moments. The inmates were guided to do these exercises slowly and with full awareness and were told the importance of them. Then we played the songs on the TV that was available, popular songs ( which we know they know and can sing along ) such as Maria Pitache, Bum Bum Bhole , Undir mana ailo etc ..

After all the singing and little bit of dancing we checked with the inmates how they felt and we interacted with them for some more time. And then we said good bye to them.
