For today’s session,Ian Monteiro accompanied me and demonstrated to the residents how to make single leaf bouquets.
The residents, Sister and the social greeted us warmly and some of the residents were eager to know what we were doing . 3 of them asked if we were going to do some painting .To which Ian answered that next time we will do a painting activity.
There were 6 participants who did the activity .
They learnt the craft with enthusiasm and kept asking Ian his name and where he lived and what he did.

Activity -A series of short quizes on various topics
Time-4.15-5.15
The residents and Sister greeted us warmly and Ian was introduced to them as the host of today’s Quiz Minis
He introduced himself to them and was quizzed by them too on how old he was ,which school he went to ,what were his hobbies ,which class he was in.
He planned a series of mini quiz’s that were displayed on the TV screen, on topics like
1. One word two meanings -the residents were shown the 2 meanings and had to guess what the word was.For eg. 1.left side of the ship 2. An alcoholic beverage answer-Port
2.The next quiz was on collective nouns eg ..a group of butterflies-ans. A kaleidoscope of Butterflies
3. Quiz on words beginning with Man. A sentence was read out to them and they had to give the answer.
The residents and sister too enjoyed themselves with mini quiz sessions and they were looking forward to more interactive sessions like this..
Many are quite bright and answered correctly and those who didn’t know learnt something new. There was also healthy competition between a few of them as they wanted to be the first ones to answer.
