This session was on making flowers on stems.
I had prepped up all the materials for the session and arrived at the house before 9am.. Rang the bell, got everyone’s attention by greeting them gently and lovingly and Dr. Cellsa too came to help me set-up the tables upfront, where there was better light to conduct our session.
At first, i demonstrated 4 to 5 flower stems for everyone to see and understand how I made them…which i offered to ladies on the wheel chairs….then I got 3 to 4 of the inmates on each side of the 2 tables, and continued to guide them to make these little beauties.
Luckily, during the second round, Sr. Leema too joined us and made a flower stem, and again, she was very helpful with the pictures…we had around 21 inmates present including the ones on wheelchairs, and 16 of them participated and all of them were very excited about making these type of flowers for a change, this time.
I wound up the session with some positive affirmations and a small prayer for everyone and al their different caregivers who look after them.
