Activity-Games
Today’s activity was based on hand -eye movement. They enjoyed the game of aiming and trying to get the ball in the bucket.Even the wheel chair bound residents, despite their difficulties demonstrated great enthusiasm and made an effort to play the game and most of them did a great job. They were rewarded with sweets ,one for participating and 2 for aiming correctly. They were delighted.
After that, they wanted to play another game,so we played passing the balls. Two balls were passed simultaneously and Riva sang beautifully some songs as our internet connection wasn’t working. This ,too they enjoyed playing
The residents took some time to gather at the beginning but we got to chat with some of them and rhey were super happy.
MOGADAN
NO OF RESIDENTS -4 for knitting and 20 for nail art and Mendi
The residents were excited to see us and more so with Riva as they waited patiently for her to do their nails followed by small mendi tattoos. The sisters were happy too.
I continued with rhe knitting session but they need more practice and intkme they will learn it.
Sister Pushpa has requested that we teach them skills like crochet, knitting, pencil flowers ,bead work etc as they have the material available with them and a few are able to do this. She said a few of them are capable and need to be kept busy otherwise they think unnecessary thoughts .
Riva Vaz accompanied me on today’s and helped greatly .
