21st of March at 4:30pm until 5:45pm on Chair yoga at St. John of God, Old Goa
This time we reached much before 4pm and had an opportunity to take part in adoration of the Blessed sacrament..then by 4 pm everyone came out of the chapel and went to have tea while we organised the chairs and spaced them away from each other so the ladies could stretch their feet and hands comfortably to some extent.
We began with a little video which everyone watched very attentively, and Sr. Selsa stayed the entire time with me if I needed any help in explaining it to them …though i managed to get them to understand that it meant they should not neglect their health and take every help given, especially when they need to just spend anywhere between 10 minutes to half an hour to do breathing exercises and stretches that I repeat with them every visit….to improve their eyesight and improve the blood circulation and strengthen body mobility.
In the beginning of the session I asked them to close their eyes and sit back in a relaxed position journeying and being transported to a beautiful garden filled with all sorts of flower plants and fruit trees and and water fall with beautiful fish that they could see in the water pond.
Then we came back to the present moment and began our exercises and ended with an action song.
