Session: Flower making Date: 4th July, 2025 Time: 10:30 to 12:10
The session at Mogandan was quite different from my last visit, as I tried to do what sister requested, which was to teach a few inmates to learn to make flowers, the last time I was there.
Sr got me the supplies, and I had carried a few tools to shape the wires..
Sr. Had asked around 6 of them to learn flowers making, and though it was not that we were looking to make great pieces of artwork, the idea was to help them to understand how to follow instructions and use their eyes and hands to work in uniform order, from them 3 of them looked very promising cause I told Sr..the next i help them to learn to complete making the flowers, I will get them hand written labels, which we will punch and use a ribbon to toe a bow on each stem of the flower, to gift to the guests visiting Mogandan as a sign of gratitude for their visit and offerings.
I taught them to cut the wires to a certain size and then kept samples of them as well, to remember, and make rings from stocking wires and and then to use the stocking material and wrap and tie over the silver rings we made…..we were so engrossed in our learning that it became 12:10…and I had to leave..lunch is at 12.noon
Next session I will teach them to complete the flowers…
