Activity Report: Aromatherapy Hand Massage Session
Location: St. John of God
Date: 14th May 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 12.15 pm
An aromatherapy hand massage session was conducted for the residents of St. John of God. The session focused on calming and uplifting their spirits using a blend of pure essential oils. The following oils were used for their distinct therapeutic benefits:
Lemon: for its refreshing and mood-lifting properties
Lavender: to promote relaxation and calm anxiety
Rose: to support emotional balance and a sense of wellbeing
Peppermint: to refresh and stimulate alertness
Eucalyptus: to ease breathing and enhance mental clarity
Each resident received a gentle hand massage with an oil of their choice. After the massage, each lady was presented with a personalized card, expressing encouragement and warmth. A small treat was also given to each lady by my daughter to conclude the session on a sweet note. Around 18 ladies expressed joy and gratitude for the attention and care they received and appeared visibly relaxed and comforted by the therapeutic scents and touch.
